LUINY is a jewelry line created by self-taught designer Luiny Rivera, a Puerto Rican native now based in New York.

LUINY is both my name and the name of my jewelry line—a brand inspired by my Puerto Rican roots, travels, and commitment to intentional design. I began making jewelry in 2003 while studying a career that didn’t fulfill me. Searching for creative freedom and a way to support myself, I started upcycling jewelry and experimenting with techniques. What began as a side project quickly became a passion.

In 2016, I launched LUINY in New York City. Since then, I’ve designed for Mara Hoffman’s runway, created an exclusive line for Urban Outfitters, and collaborated with Bec + Bridge. My work has been featured internationally and sold in places like Japan, Spain, Dubai, and the MoMA Design Store in NYC.

Each piece is handcrafted using recycled metals, natural stones, and wax techniques. My designs reflect the bold style of Caribbean women, the energy of NYC, and the colors and textures I discover on my travels. I also photograph all my campaigns—often in Puerto Rico—capturing the women, colors, and natural settings that inspire the brand.

LUINY is rooted in culture, shaped by intuition, and built with intention—an ever-evolving reflection of creativity, identity, and individuality.
